20th Faszination Modellbau & 37th Int. Model railroad exhibition 2022: set-up and dismantling information for non commerical participants

Structure

Official set-up is from Tuesday 01. Nov. 2022 until Thursday, 03. Nov. 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day. To protect against theft, it is imperative that the set-up times are adhered to. We would like to ask all exhibiting companies to be present at the booth with at least one person until the end of the setup. The halls will be cleared by security at the end of the set-up period. If there are companies that have not yet completed the set-up at this time, an extension of the set-up time can only be allowed if a person from the security service supervises the set-up of this company at the expense of the exhibiting company. The cost for one person of the security service is about 25,- €/hour plus. VAT

Driving onto the exhibition grounds or entry deposit

Driving on the exhibition grounds during the set-up period is possible with a valid parking permit or against payment of a deposit of 50,- € per car and 100,- € per truck. Parking passes have a BARCODE and must be scanned upon entry and also upon exit. A trailer counts as a separate vehicle. If you leave by the end of the set-up period (Thursday 8pm), your deposit will be refunded. After that, the deposit is forfeited.

Opening hours of the fair

The following opening hours apply to visitors:

Friday to Saturday 04. – November 05, 2022 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm,
Sunday 06 November 2022 from 9.00 to 17.00

Opening hours for exhibitors:

Daily 1 hour before or 1 hour after opening hours for visitors

Entry to the exhibition grounds during the trade fair is only permitted upon presentation of your exhibitor pass. Driving on the exhibition grounds during the trade fair is only possible with your exhibitor pass and a valid parking permit. For the purpose of deliveries, you may also drive onto the exhibition grounds for a total of 1 hour upon payment of a € 50 deposit.

Dismantling

The dismantling will take place on Sunday, 06. Nov. 2022 from 5:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Monday, 07. Nov. 2021 will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that no dismantling of the exhibition stand is permitted on the last day of the exhibition before it closes at 5:00 p.m. The hall gates will be opened from 17.30. Driving into the exhibition halls is at your own risk.

Parking during fair hours

Car - parking spaces (up to 3.4 to.)

Parking spaces for exhibitors are available within the exhibition grounds. If you need a car parking permit, please order it with the stand equipment requirements list or from your contact person in the relevant model building theme area. The parking tickets are valid for the set-up and exhibition days. Parking permits must be visibly attached to the vehicle. Parking tickets have a BARCODE and must be scanned upon entry and exit. If you wish to park outside the exhibition grounds in the visitor parking lots, you must pay a daily parking fee of € 6.

Trailer - parking spaces

There are no trailer parking passes! If you wish to park a trailer within the exhibition grounds, please order an additional car parking permit with the stand equipment requirements list or from your contact person at the respective model building theme area.

Truck - parking spaces (3,5 - 7,5 to.)

Truck parking is available within the exhibition grounds behind the halls. If you need a truck parking pass, please order it with the booth equipment needs list or from your contact person in the respective modelling theme area. The parking permits are valid for the set-up and exhibition days. Parking permits must be visibly attached to the vehicle. Parking tickets have a BARCODE and must be scanned upon entry and exit.

Caravan and camper pitches

Exhibitors’ caravans and motor homes can be parked on a site directly adjacent to the exhibition grounds (parking lot OST 2). This place is supplied with electricity and water and costs 20,- € per night and 8,- € per night, these are settled on the spot with the parking staff. No reservations can be accepted. The parking space on P Ost 2 can be chosen independently! We ask to park the caravans or motor homes in a space-saving way. In addition, there are 2 sanitary containers with WC and showers. The camper site is open from the first day of construction until the last day of dismantling.

The exhibition management is available for all exhibitor needs from Tuesday, 01. Nov. until Monday 07. Nov. 2022 at the trade fair management office in the WEST entrance area as follows:

Operation of remote control systems

The operation of remote control systems in the halls is strictly prohibited. Excluding 2.4 GHz systems. In exceptional cases, a transmitter may be put into operation without an RF module, with the written approval of the exhibition management. We ask you to obey this request for safety reasons due to all actions taking place inside and outside the halls.

Fire protection regulations

Easily flammable, burning dripping or toxic gas forming materials such as Styrofoam or similar must not be used.

Decorative materials must be at least B 1, i.e. flame retardant, according to DIN 4102. The use of combustible decorative materials is permitted only if either.

  • a test certificate for B1 approval is available
  • the material has been impregnated with an approved flame retardant
  • the harmlessness can be determined in a fire test

If you do not observe this, the decorative material must be removed. Confirmation of flame resistance or of impregnation carried out in accordance with regulations can be requested from the Friedrichshafen Building Regulations Office.

Gas cylinders, propane (butane) cylinders

Gas bottles and propane (butane) bottles are generally prohibited. An exception permit must be applied for in writing in good time and issued by the Friedrichshafen Building Regulations Office.

Distribution of printed matter of any kind outside your stand and also in the parking areas is not permitted. We ask you to note this
